About this Products
- Anuga Wine Special, Gold Award (2017)
- U.S. National SAKE Appraisal, Gold Medal (2015)
This SAKE is wrapped in gold for a reason. Kyoto-based Kinshi Masamune brewery's namesake Junmai Ginjo is meticulously fermented at low temperatures to produce a bright, slightly sweet aromatic SAKE.
Its creamy fragrance is thanks to the use of Kyoto's special Iwai brewer's rice. We suggest pairing the wonderfully crisp and elegant flavor with spicy dishes. Kinishi Masamune Junmai Ginjo is best served chilled, preferably from a glass to enjoy the well-rounded bouquet.
Sake Sommelier Comment
A display of delicacy for the senses, the subtle bouquet leaning toward melon and floral notes combines with a semi-dry finish and balanced acidity to create an effortless companion to a light meal.
Kinshi Masamune -Kyoto-
Brewery located in Kinki
Shimmachi, Fushimi-ku Kyoto-shi, Kyoto
In 1781, Kyubey Matsuya, the first-generation founder, was deeply involved in the history of classical Kyoto cuisine in the area south of the Imperial Palace. The SAKE is refined and bright, made using water from Kyoto, a place of scenic beauty. This SAKE is perfect for pairing with Kyoto cuisine, the treasure of Japan’s old imperial capital. The brew is prepared in Fushimi, Kyoto, using the signature Tokiwai-no-Mizu water and traditional brewing methods. This SAKE is evolving as we enter a new era. The Kishin Masamune brand was launched in 1896, taking its name from the Order of the Golden Kite award.
