This brewery was founded in 1872.

Our brand “Takaisami” was named by the first founder, a bird enthusiast who was inspired by the image of the hawk soaring through the clear blue sky.

Since our founding, we have continued to produce brisk and dry-tasting SAKE. Thus far, we have won thirteen awards at the All-Japan New SAKE Awards of Excellence.

The foothills of Daisen are home to rich natural environs, cold winter winds, and melting snowcaps. This climate is ideal for SAKE brewing. The rices used revolve around Yamada Nishiki, with others like Tamasakae and Gouriki, a brewers' rice unique to Tottori, also being used.

We are committed to every step of the process, from rice production to brewing, and ensure close relationships with all producers in our creation of dry SAKE. We also put customers first and work out of gratitude to them. We are committed to quality and deliver products that we know people will love.
